BPO is short for Brokers Price Opinion and it is the practice of estimating the value of property or real estate. A BPO is usually 2-3 pages long and includes critical information regarding the subject property, competing properties, and comparable sales within the subject properties area by driving by the home. I just finished 2 BPOs that were 12 pages long. I understand that clients need sufficient information to make a professional decision but for a “drive by” I thought this was a bit much. I’d love to see a BPO with ONLY two to three pages long.
