ON A Personal Note!
Ok So IF You Have Known me for a over a year, you know that last year I was super GUNG HO
about 2008 and getting ready for 2008 and success in 2008…I mean I was PUMPED.
I had just finished moving to Miami Beach and was really going to blow up the REO BPO Business Down there by doing BULK BPO REO Business with investors and banks that I had already lined up.
Well it all FELL Apart because on January 5th 2008 my DAD was admitted by Helicopter from Deland, FL to SHANDS Medical Center in Gainesville, FL for a Type 3 Aortic Dissection. Which in laymans terms is a tear in his aorta. And this tear went from his aorta to his kidneys.
Things didn’t look so good for him and little did I know that they would actually worsen.
Now my DAD was only 20 years older me at 54 he just had had his birthday on 12/30/2007…so all of this was a huge shock…and my DAD and I were super close. My family and me had one of the best Christmases EVER in 2007. Thankfully!
Anyways to make a long story short 2008 WAS THE WORST YEAR IN MY LIFE
I had to go into scary unknown, unchartered territory. I had to put everything on hold and MOVE TO DELAND, FL and help my MOM finish rebuilding my parents main source of income, their Dunkin Donuts Franchises. Because my DAD got sick and went into a coma the project had ceased.
This store was being rebuilt because in February of 2007 it got hit with a tornado. IF you don’t believe me Google “deland tornado” I know right…what a string of BAD Luck.
So I had to get this Project back on track…because this was a huge money maker for my folks and the hosital bills were racking up like you wouldn’t believe.
So the project had been stopped for weeks delaying everything. And I had to get it back on track…
Never Ever having done anything like this totally a NEW BEAST for me. If I failed then everything crumbled even more.
The POINT is I had some dark days in 2008 and you know what I AM STILL HERE and I am not giving up NO MATTER WHAT.
And I want you to know that I feel any pains you have gone through in 2008…I am so, so with you…Because I truly understand the pains of life, BUT…
I ALSO UNDERSTAND THE REWARDS OF VICTORY TOO…And those come when you NEVER GIVE UP!
So Don’t Give Up on Yourself…If things aren’t working out find a new way you can do it…you can make it.
I did, I survived the world coming down on me the first half of 2008 and I perservered and made it through.
Unfortunately my DAD didn’t but now I understand why and know he is always with me.

Thanks Anthony. I am thankful for my blessings always. My family is my strength. I have no money and still struggling BUT I am still here in the industry trying so hard to think what my next plan will be. My oldest daughter is telling me to find a job, I love real estate and so I am still here. Thanks for the story that you had shared. I will always remember and it will be my insperation. Take care. Hello Anthony, that was not only a great video, but also a great and heartfelt story that you wrote.
My father and brother are buried just out my door about 250 to 300′ from me, in my home, office’s, and apartment rental complex, in our little family graveyard here in Kentucky, I too plan on being buried there, but to get back to you Anthony!

Your story is quite like my own stroy.To hear the Rocky story it’s heart warming. Thank you for sharing with all of us, as we all so truly need hope in the Real Estate Industry and in life. I am a serious survivor and faith believer in our efforts returning to us with out void. I buried my mother whome I loved deeply, and took care of her 3 yrs. until she passed July of 07′ with Dementia and Congestive Hert Failure. That was the blow that took the wind out of me. The industry changing! All of my finances upside down! Right behind that, we had to bury my niece 40 yrs old that did not wake up from her sleep. My theory is that we must find something that we can connect to, that will help us realize what the true story is in what our life values are. Hold on to that and know it always will have to come back around to the Joy moments. Joy comes with “Great Health, Loving Relationships, Healthy Financial Planning, top it off with a STRONG Spiritual foundation”. 2009 will be great and I am on the right track with what is out here to make Real Estate work until we bottom out and it all takes off again. Things will be different but so will we.

Sorry to hear about your loss! My grandmother passed away Dec 24, 2007 then my uncle in July 2008. My deepest condolences go out to you. Stay strong and we will survive. Thanks for the video. It was great!
I know the feelings you have went through. My father’s funeral was 1/19/2008. We had been in business together for 30+ years. It’s not just the loss of a father but also a friend and business partner. Hope 2009 will be a better year for you and me.

Thanks for the Rocky story! It is truly inspiring.
Having lost my father in 1977 and my mother in 1990, I empathize with you in your loss of your father. It is really rough to lose your parents, or any loved one. Know that they are with you, as I do, and sometimes I can feel their presence, just as you may feel your father with you.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. I, like yourself, had the same thing happen in ‘07 with my Father and Brother-in-law who passed on with in 6 weeks of each other. Thought my world had come to an end, but I too have perserved. ‘08 was a better year but ‘09 will be much better.

Anthony Thanks For the story. I have these personal traits. Things got worse and I didn’t give up. I have my first REO Thanks
All my troubler started on 2008 so my struggles continue on 2009 and I lost my paying job in 2009 as well as my credit and everything that I had saved is gone. Now 2010 and I am still trying with no money. I do not know how I will get into the REO business, I completed some BPOs but It is hard for me to get more since I do not have my phone with email to grasp those BPOs. However I will not give up, I want to success and to well I believed that REO is the path to follow.
